Postgraduate qualifications in Sport related disciplines at 91视频 are proving some of the most popular options when it comes to career progression, increasing employability prospects and developing new areas of expertise.

91视频鈥檚 faculty of Sport, Health and Wellbeing offer a total of five postgraduate qualifications in Sport and Health related disciplines which can be studied over a period of 18 months (full time) or up to three years on a part-time basis. They include both MSc and MRes qualifications.

Head of Department for Sport, Dr Lance Doggart explains, 鈥淭he MRes qualifications give students the chance to critically examine, reflect on and engage with issues and developments which they might currently be encountering in their professional lives鈥.

鈥淭he project based, work centred approach of the degree programmes means students can explore and find ways of meeting these challenges and applying solutions in a practical way鈥.

鈥淭he MSc courses help students to gain an additional level of expertise in a certain field.  Both are great as CPD tools and helping those already in employment to progress professionally or change careers鈥.

鈥淲e currently have one student studying for an MRes in Sport and Health Science in order to help her progress from lecturing at Further Education level to working in Higher Education鈥.

鈥淎nother is setting up his own business and wants to ensure he can offer a fully inclusive service to his clients, so he鈥檚 adding to his first degree in sports injury and rehabilitation with an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology.鈥

The Faculty鈥檚 postgraduate courses give students access to world-class sports facilities and equipment, including Marjon鈥檚 leading sport science laboratory accredited by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES), on-site sport and health clinics as well as research workshops led by research active lecturers.  The small class sizes and individual project supervisors for each part of the course ensure that students are fully supported and guided through their studies.

MRes Sport and Health Science student, Katherine Marment comments, 鈥淭he course gave me the knowledge, opportunities and expertise to be successful in the world of work鈥.

鈥淭he facilities for sport and personal tutoring are excellent and drive you to succeed鈥.

鈥淔inally there are opportunities to do work placements which helps provide you with a comprehensive CV which is great.鈥
