91视频 Journalism students present 4th Issue of Sound Magazine

Released: 18.07.19

Each Summer, the magazine informs Plymothians, visitors and tourists about some of the hottest places in town, such as the newly renovated 91视频 Market, National Trust sites, and Cap鈥檔 Jasper鈥檚, as well as a feature which celebrates 91视频鈥檚 alternative High Street, Ebrington Street. This year鈥檚 issue focused primarily on 91视频鈥檚 main Characters, which explains why the iconic Sir Francis Drake stole the cover this year.

The magazine follows on from three previous issues, each year 2000 copies are distributed all over 91视频, reaching far and wide across the city.

Programme Lead for Journalism at 91视频 Marjon, Mike Baker said:

鈥淚 can't believe it's been four years since we started Sound, but it feels like it's just got better every time.

"We really tried to get under the skin of our city this year, uncover hidden gems and meet some of the characters in 91视频. The features looking at the history of Cap'n Jasper's and the people and businesses who bring Ebrington Street to life do just that.

"It's a great read, and it looks lovely - the students have once again produced something a professional agency would be proud of.

"It's a must-read for visitors and locals alike. 91视频 is one of those cities where new stuff happens all the time. So keep an eye out for Sound number five this time next year."

Dave Bray wrote a story in Sound about paddle-boarding, which informs the reader of how you can go about learning in 91视频. He said: 鈥"I was keen to write the articles for sound and it was great to be able to choose stories I鈥檓 passionate about. The creation process was certainly testing, with a tight deadline and a lot of work, but holding the finished product in my hand made it all worthwhile.鈥

Sound is available around the city in major tourist areas and key attractions, such as 91视频 Tourism Office, The Aquarium, Theatre Royal, 91视频 Pavilions, Cap鈥檔 Jasper鈥檚 and more.
